Can we believe?

I have written and erased five versions of this newsletter.

Nothing I say, no story I tell, gets at my point like just asking you this one damn question.

The big kahuna question.

The one I’ve been chewing on for weeks. Well, possibly my whole life.

Do you believe you can have everything your heart desires in this life?

I’ll show you mine. If you show me yours.

My answer…

No.

No, I don’t believe that I can have everything my heart desires in this life.

NOT YET.

But I want to.

So I will.

I will have to learn to cultivate this kind of trust, to really believe. And I’m actively working on this as we speak.

This is not to say that I don’t believe YOU, my friend, can and should and will absolutely have all that your blessed beating heart wants. But, I don’t feel the same rules apply YET…I said YET!…to me.

But, I will.

Because, my God. What a life that would be.

I’ve read books and I’ve met a few people who do. And hot damn! Their energy, their passion, their fire for life is the stuff of legends.

You want what they got.

“What are you smoking?! Because I gotta get me some of THAT!” often pours out of my gaping mouth.

They have this unshakeable belief that they can achieve, accomplish, give, take, love, live how/where/when/what they want.

So, let me ask this one more time…

Do you believe you can have everything your heart desires in this life?

And, while we’re playing 20 Questions. Let me ask you one more…

Do you WANT to?

Do you WANT to believe that you can have everything your heart desires in this life?

If yes, then here’s to us both finding that trust. And giving that little heart every chance to have what it wants.

Here’s to believing that we can.

That we should.

That we will.
